Migraine is a complex condition that is predominantly characterised by painful headaches and a wide variety of other symptoms. It is a common disabling primary headache disorder and is ranked as the third most prevalent disorder in the world. It has two major types: migraine with aura (characterised by transient sensory disturbances, most usually visual) and migraine without aura. There are many other types of headaches, such as Tension-type headache, Cluster headache, or Stabbing headache, to name but a few.
