Appointments during COVID-19 pandemic
Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) is an evolving health concern for people around the world. At Perth Neurology and Epilepsy, your safety -as well as ours- is our priority. Most appointments are now performed by telehealth with the use of Facetime, Skype or phone call.
Some patients still need to attend appointments in person. The rooms are located within the premises of Perron Institute; therefore, we follow the screening procedure and safety rules imposed by the Institute. Basic rules of social distancing and good personal hygiene are in place; these include:
- Keep at least 1.5 meters or two arm lengths from each other
- Wash hands with soap and water or use a hand sanitiser
- Cover coughs and sneezes with a tissue or use your elbow
A mask will be used by the doctor during your neurological examination. Patients requiring nerve conduction study or electromyography will be given to wear a surgical face mask.
When you arrive please see Jacki at the Reception who will confirm your appointment, go through the safety procedure and direct you in.DO NOT ATTEND appointment if you have:
